
In this role, you are central to prototype powertrain development of prototype powertrains, including engine, aftertreatment, (e)axle, transmission, or other alternative aggregates. You will plan, develop prototype bill of materials, support coordination of assembly resources, reserve testing resources, and drive change management. This supports powertrain prototype batches from initiation through start of testing. Top tasks include the development and maintenance of modular prototype bill of materials in SAP supporting systems unique to Daimler Truck engineering and the demand calculation for purchase of prototype parts. Implementation and correction to prototype bill of materials for all powertrain aggregates includes cross-functional coordination with design engineering, component testing and prototype purchasing. This position will support procurement of prototype powertrain components for prototype batches and spare part packages in coordination with program management and global counterparts.
