Job Description
Audubon is currently seeking a Project Engineer III to join our team in our Houston office. The Project Engineer III will lead project engineering on very large, complex projects. Participates in all major technical, cost, scheduling, and performance decisions and provides senior multidisciplinary leadership throughout project execution. Develops and maintains customer relationships to identify needs and expand the company's product and service capabilities while ensuring safe, high-quality delivery.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promotes and demonstrates the company's values, safety culture, and ethical standards.
- Leads project engineering for very large, complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Participates in all major technical, cost, scheduling, risk, and performance decisions.
- Partners with the Project Manager and senior stakeholders to establish strategy, priorities, and execution plans.
- Directs interfaces among clients, engineering disciplines, vendors, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations.
- Maintains technical excellence and compliance with project requirements, contracts, codes, standards, and procedures.
- Establishes project engineering plans, governance, workflows, and decision-making processes.
- Leads to multidisciplinary design reviews, technical decisions, interface resolution, and deliverable approvals.
- Ensures deliverables are properly checked and approved and meet quality, consistency, and presentation expectations.
- Evaluates progress, staffing, cost, schedule, and performance trends and directs corrective action.
- Leads scope, change, risk, opportunity, and performance management for project engineering activities.
- Communicates project decisions, forecasts, risks, priorities, and performance to clients and senior leadership.
- Anticipates and resolves complex technical, commercial, cost, schedule, quality, and client issues.
- Develops and maintains customer contacts to understand needs and expand product and service capabilities.
- Supports proposals, estimates, presentations, and business-development activities using project and customer knowledge.
- Provides senior technical direction, coaching, and mentoring project engineering and multidisciplinary personnel.
- Leads project reviews, audit resolution, lessons learned, and continuous improvement; performs other duties as assigned.
