Job Description
The Project Engineer II - Permian Site Coordinator will be responsible to execute the overall workflow and lead all aspects of work in the Permian Basin required to create deliverables for the Foundation Program. This includes cost tracking and reporting, schedule coordination with the scanning teams, review and approval of Conditions of Satisfaction, site pack development and managing the scheduling, oversight and performance of field verification teams. The scope of deliverables are P&ID, Plot Plan, Area Classification, Lease Flow Diagram, PSV Data Sheets, Asset Register and Pipeline Mapping. Mapping. The Site Coordinator will also be the primary contact for the Permian Engineering and Operations teams. This role will be located in Midland, TX and officed in the Midland Corporate Office (MCO).
Responsibilities
- Oversee entire workflow to ensure successful completion of deliverables
- Engage with other parties – scanning teams, Quest, engineering contractors, asset teams – as needed to progress the workflow, troubleshoot issues and resolve tension points
- Provide monthly cost updates and outlooks, including site unit cost analysis
- Provide monthly schedule updates and outlooks
- Provide monthly progress reports, including site and deliverable status
- Maintain alignment between scanning schedule and balance of document creation workflow
- Influence scanning team schedule, to degree possible, to support asset team needs
- Review and approve Conditions of Satisfaction (CoS) before allowing workflow progression, ensuring drawing and work product standards are met
- Engage teams to correct deviations and learn from issues identified through CoS reviews
- Compile all information required to create a site pack prior to workflow initiation
- Complete site pre-visits as needed to ensure site pack fully describes the scope (ex. including well pad satellites with TB site pack)
- Facilitate contractor access to sites, including coordination with Operations for permitting and access to hard to reach locations such as heights (as need basis)
- Direct contractor activities including site list and schedule
- Oversee deliverable quality
- Steward and approve contractor costs
- Establish relationships with asset engineering and operations teams
- Maintain contact to understand issues, requests or tension points – resolve as appropriate
- Ensure Management of Change (OIMS 7.1) and Documentation Management (OIMS 4.1) fully integrate Foundations deliverables once complete
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Previous experience supporting oil & gas operations, engineering projects, facilities documentation, or project coordination
- Experience working with engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, plot plans, lease flow diagrams, pipeline mapping, or facility documentation preferred
- Strong understanding of project coordination, scheduling, and contractor management practices
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across engineering, operations, and contractor teams
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and reporting tools
- Experience with cost tracking, schedule reporting, and progress tracking preferred
- Willingness to travel occasionally to field locations in Midland, TX and Carlsbad, NM
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of Management of Change (MOC), documentation management, or field verification processes is a plus
- Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
