To support our growth, we are looking for a :
PROJECT ENGINEER (F/M)
Long term contract - Rome, Italy
Within the Italian development team, and part of the Design Office, you will manage the technical aspects of photovoltaic projects in the development phase to bring the projects to Ready to Build.
Your main tasks will be :
TO DESIGN PROJECTS FOR BUILDING PERMIT SUBMISSION
- Assess the techno-economic performance of the project, including risks and opportunities and analyse the constraints with the project team to define the optimal project design.
- Identify various technical strategies and select the optimal one.
- Develop and validate the Detailed Preliminary Design within the project team.
- Contribute to the validation of the Building Permit design during management committee meetings.
TO OPTIMIZE PROJECTS FOR TENDERS AND CONSTRUCTION
- Prepare technical documents for lease agreements and handover to construction after obtaining the Building Permit.
- Ensure coordination with the construction engineering team for future implementation.
TO SUPERVISE TECHNICAL STUDIES
- Oversee geotechnical, acoustic and detailed engineering studies with external providers.
- Supervise the preparation of Building Permit modifications and manage grid connection procedures in collaboration with the Grid Connection team.
TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT MANAGER IN TECHNICAL FOLLOW-UP
- Advise and contribute during the preliminary phase to detect and improve project performance.
- Participate in project reviews and maintain an overview of the project portfolio to anticipate technical decisions and actions.
Expected skills
You hold an engineering degree and have at least three years of experience in a design office specialising in electrical engineering/the environment, ideally in the renewable energy sector and more specifically in photovoltaics.
You are familiar with the various stages of renewable energy project development and have a good understanding of the electricity grid.
You are comfortable using Microsoft Office and are proficient in AutoCAD and production simulation software (such as PVsyst).
You are fluent in both Italian and English.
