Amentum is looking for an experienced Project Engineer (Electrical) to join our Project Management Resource (PMR) team, supporting EDF Nuclear Generation and its UK nuclear fleet.
Based predominantly at Sizewell B Power Station, you’ll join a large, client-led team delivering projects within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment. You’ll work closely with the client’s Project/Programme Manager and Construction Manager, playing an important role in the safe and successful delivery of your assigned projects.
This is an opportunity to build on your existing project engineering experience while working alongside experienced professionals who will support and mentor your development. You’ll have access to training and opportunities to strengthen your technical, project engineering and leadership capabilities, with the potential to progress towards larger and increasingly complex projects.
While the role will primarily be site-based at Sizewell B, some flexibility between site, office and home working may be possible depending on project and business requirements. Occasional travel to other UK sites and stations may also be required.
As a Project Engineer, you’ll take responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned projects, working with the client and a cross-functional project team to achieve agreed safety, quality, schedule and performance objectives.
You’ll report to the Amentum Operations Manager from a business perspective, while being accountable directly to the client for project delivery. This position does not currently have any direct reports.
We’re looking for an experienced engineering professional with a strong understanding of project delivery in complex, highly regulated environments. You’ll be comfortable working across disciplines, engaging with a range of stakeholders and taking a practical, solutions-focused approach to delivering projects safely and successfully.
Experience working at power stations or Nuclear Licensed Sites would be advantageous, but it isn’t essential.
