Build the future with Siemens

At Siemens, we’re building more than world-class technology - we’re creating a workplace where people feel valued, supported and empowered to do their best work.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Engineer - Electrical & Modular Systems to join our growing team, working on complex MV and LV electrical systems, modular units, E-Houses and skids supporting critical infrastructure and data centre projects.

You’ll work across electrical, mechanical and cooling systems, collaborating with talented engineers, project teams, customers and suppliers to deliver high-quality solutions.

A culture that puts people first

At Siemens, we genuinely care about our people. We believe a positive and rewarding culture is fundamental to doing great work, which is why we place a strong focus on employee wellbeing, development and growth.

You’ll join a supportive and collaborative team where your contribution is valued, with access to training, hands-on experience and fantastic career opportunities both locally and globally. Whether you want to deepen your technical expertise, take on greater project responsibility or explore international opportunities, your career can grow with us.

What will you be doing?

You’ll play a key role in the design, coordination and delivery of MV and LV electrical systems and modular solutions, including:

  • Managing project engineering and delivery processes from design through to installation and commissioning support.
  • Working with customers to understand requirements and develop fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Leading electrical design activities and preparing technical documentation and drawings.
  • Developing LV electrical designs including main switchboards, distribution boards and control panels.
  • Producing Single Line Diagrams, termination diagrams, General Arrangements, detailed designs and as-built documentation.
  • Coordinating electrical, mechanical and cooling interfaces across modular systems, E-Houses and skids.
  • Managing technical interfaces with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Reviewing designs against project requirements, Siemens processes and relevant Australian/New Zealand standards.
  • Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing, installation and commissioning activities.
  • Providing technical support to project and package managers and customers.
  • Identifying and mitigating technical and design risks while maintaining a strong focus on quality and HSEQ.
  • Preparing project reports, technical documentation and operation and maintenance manuals.

What will you bring?

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with a collaborative and practical approach.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Experience in electrical engineering, design or project engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems and relevant Australian/New Zealand standards, including AS/NZS 61439.
  • Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering environments.
  • Experience with electrical design software and 2D/3D design packages.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A flexible, practical and results-oriented approach.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced project environment.
  • A willingness to travel occasionally to customer and production locations, including interstate and internationally where required.

Experience within the data centre or other mission-critical infrastructure sectors would be highly regarded.

Why Siemens?

Because your career is about more than your next job.

You’ll join a global technology leader with the scale and expertise to make a real difference, while being part of a team that genuinely cares about its people. With a strong focus on wellbeing, learning and development, you’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects while building a career that can take you places.
