Company / Context

Gladys Synergies is recruiting on behalf of a vertically integrated meat production company a Project Engineer Dams.

This person will oversee the design, coordination, and construction of irrigation dams and water reservoir infrastructure. The role will focus on the planning and execution of multiple earth dam and water storage projects. This position is based in Lubumbashi.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, setting out, and construction supervision of irrigation dams and water reservoirs.

• Supervise excavation, embankment construction, compaction, and slope formation works.

• Collect and record site data for project documentation, reports, and as-built records.

• Coordinate construction of spillways, drainage channels, culverts, and outlet structures.

• Maintain daily site records, measurements, and progress reports.

• Coordinate with contractors, machine operators, and supervisors to ensure correct execution of works.

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and engineering standards.

• Supervise technicians, surveyors, and site workers involved in dam construction.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in earthworks, dams, roads, or water infrastructure projects.

• Experience in construction of irrigation dams, reservoirs, or large earthworks is highly preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

• Fluent in english, knowledge of french is an advantage

• Strong knowledge of soil classification, compaction, and earthwork procedures.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software is an advantage.

• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
