  • Project engineer responsible for maintaining and ensuring projects management activities, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management over all
  • Oversee the safe, certified, and orderly transfer of all plant systems from the construction phase, through commissioning, and into the final hands of the operating client

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform ITB contract review and scope of work identification
  • Ensure technical integrity and compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain project activities to ensure delivery within schedule, cost, and quality standards.
  • Prepare project plans and various gate meetings, and ensure compliance with project guidelines
  • Develop project scope, deliverables, and document management system.
  • Drive interface management and reporting, liaising with the Client’s Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required.
  • Review technical submittals from contractors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate Technical Bid Evaluation process and production of the Technical Bid Evaluation Report.
  • Monitor project progress, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
  • Manage pending issues and claims related to design, procurement, construction, vendors, and clients
  • Identify and report on key coordination issues and act as a liaison
  • Collect and compile data from various sources to support decision-making processes
  • Check and report on estimates, specification discrepancies, and changes in material or labor costs
  • Review and submit functional and construction details, as well as follow-up on progress
  • Identify items requiring support from clients and follow-up on progress
  • Identify and report on risks associated with the project and subcontractors, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Maintain deliverables and monitor progress, including interface status and schedule management
  • Ensure project reporting and interface definition and management, plus liaison with Client project engineers.
  • Ensure that technical integrity is fully maintained and that all deviations to project standards/procedures are formally recorded and approved.
  • Support commissioning activities, such as punch clear, walk-through, and handover document preparation
  • Coordinate with Client, local government entities, or any companies needed for the execution of the project at any stages.
  • Prepare COB (Close-Out Binder) documentation.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (E&I, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or related field.

Experience:

  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in project management or a related field
  • Focused on systems completion, turnover, and operational readiness within large-scale, multi-billion-dollar EPC projects
  • Experience in oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants
  • Engineering & Construction Company working experience

Knowledge or Certification:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities in projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of oil and gas industry processes and regulations.

Technical and Behavioral Competency:

  • In-depth knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design and construction activities.
  • Knowledge of cost control and schedule management.
  • Proficient in document management systems.
  • Strong understanding of technical submittals review process.
  • Thorough understanding of Technical Bid Evaluation process.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure.
