  Project Engineer (Construction / Mechanical)

Location: Southern California

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support construction project execution by managing documentation, coordinating communication, and assisting Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage document control: track, organize, and distribute project documents
• Coordinate meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes
• Collect and process submittals from vendors and subcontractors
• Assist with RFIs, proposals, budgets, and project schedules
• Communicate project updates to internal teams and clients
• Support project closeout documentation and deliverables
• Ensure all project information is accurate, organized, and up to date
• Promote clear communication and a collaborative project environment

Requirements

• Experience in construction project support or project engineering
• Strong document control experience required
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project/document management tools
• Familiarity with scheduling software (Microsoft Project preferred)
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Team-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally
