Role Definition:
Implementing solutions for new and existing manufacturing projects, including design, commissioning, debugging and handover.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing controls and robotics equipment and building systems that meets safety/electrical and controls standards.
• Communicating and leadership of suppliers, technical support to address equipment or infrastructure disruptions.
• Performing routine-to-complex engineering work potentially on multiple or large facilities.
• Manages planning, execution and control of small to medium scope facilities projects. Provides products and services to clients requirements.

Degree Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing/programming/robotics or any related engineering degree.

Plant Facilities Management:

• Performs the implementation of automation projects, from design concept to handover.

• Assesses potential security or safety risks, MRA and notifies appropriate team members.
• Follows access and security control procedures and equipment.

Problem Solving:

• Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.
• Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.
• Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.
• Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.
• Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems.

Process Management:

• Employs process flows, cycle time, process time and waste concepts as appropriate.
• Walks through steps, decisions, measurements, dependencies and hand-offs for a specific process.
• Creates process flow or work flow diagrams.
• Documents types of process decisions and potential impact of each decision.
• Identifies and monitors common process bottlenecks.

Project Management:

• Provides input for Gantt or PERT charts or their equivalent to track project progress and status.
• Under guidance, plans and estimates simple projects.
• Assists in detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements.
• Obtains information from stakeholders during the planning stage of a project.
• Produces standard project status reports.

Technical Troubleshooting:

• Discovers, analyzes and resolves hardware, software, or application problems.
• Works with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools, and utilities.
• Handles calls related to product features, applications, and compatibility standards.
• Analyzes code, logs, and current systems as part of advanced troubleshooting.
• Records and reports specific technical problems, solving processes and tools that have been used.

Top candidates may also possess:

• Master of Science in Automation Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Science in Manufacturing Systems, Robotics and Automation, or related to the field.

• Expert in process automation technologies, such as PLC programming (AB,SIEMENS) robotics(FANUC,KUKA), or digital manufacturing tools.

• Proven track record in implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance quality and productivity.

• Strong analytical skills to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in the development and deployment of automated solutions.

• Familiarity with data collection and analysis systems for monitoring and improving process performance.

• Excellent communication skills to drive engagement and training related to new automation initiatives.

Additional Information:

• Location: Cienega de Flores, Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon.

• This position is five-day a week in-office model, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (occasionally weekend support)
