The role:

As our Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering diverse civil projects across Adelaide, from earthworks and drainage to gaining experience in defence projects. You’ll work closely with experienced leaders, take ownership of meaningful project outcomes, and build your career in a growing South Australian business backed by the strength of Symal Group.

Your every day:

• Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
• Participating in monthly financial reviews and providing cost forecasts against budgets to understand cost to complete.
• Leading and supporting a strong safety culture.
• Managing the construction program and implementing mitigating measures to keep the program on track.
• Demonstrating financial awareness and industry understanding when contributing to project decisions.

Who are you?

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent is preferred
• Hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
• Engineering experience on a broad range of civil projects such as road, earthworks, drainage, land division and infrastructure
• Sound understanding of the local construction industry and familiarity with contractors, councils and clients
• Excellent stakeholder management experience
• Current South Australian Drivers Licence
