Job Description

At Sedgman, we're delivering some of Australia's most significant mineral processing and resource projects, and we're looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our growing project delivery team.

Based in Brisbane, you'll support the delivery of major mineral processing and resource projects across Australia. Working closely with engineering, construction and commissioning teams, you'll play a key role in delivering electrical project outcomes from construction through to commissioning, with regular site travel to support project execution and stakeholder engagement.

This is an opportunity to work within a business that delivers end-to-end EPC/EPCM solutions and gives project engineers exposure to the full project lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate and manage electrical work packages
• Manage contractors and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes
• Support construction, commissioning and project delivery activities
• Work closely with engineering, procurement and site teams
• Assist with contract administration and variation management
• Monitor project progress, schedule and cost performance
• Contribute to project reporting and forecasting activities
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders

About You

You are a hands-on Project Engineer who enjoys working in a delivery-focused environment and has experience supporting complex construction projects.

To be successful, you will have:

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
• Approximately 5+ years' Project Engineering experience
• Experience delivering electrical construction scopes
• Contractor and subcontractor management experience
• Exposure to mining, mineral processing, power generation or heavy industry projects
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary project teams

Desirable

• EPC/EPCM project experience
• Construction and commissioning experience
• Commercial and contract administration exposure
