Responsibilities

We are looking for a Project Engineer to support Professional Services Operations and Solution Delivery through internal engineering, automation, integrations, and scalable solution design for continuous improvement initiatives. This role combines solution architecture, frontend and backend development, enterprise system integrations, and an AI-first mindset to improve delivery workflows, connect internal tools, and create repeatable customer outcomes.

As an internal engineering partner, the Project Engineer will design, build, and maintain the tools, integrations, prototypes, and technical accelerators that power Professional Services Operations and Solution Delivery. This role will support an internal Microsoft Azure-hosted solution with SQL Server and a custom portfolio management UI, helping improve project visibility, streamline workflows, automate manual processes, and enhance the experience for customers and internal team members.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical problem solver who can think like an architect, build like a full stack engineer, integrate like a systems engineer, and apply AI and automation to improve delivery outcomes. This person is comfortable connecting internal systems, simplifying handoffs, improving data flow, and building practical solutions (UI/UX) that make Professional Services more efficient, consistent, and scalable.

  • Design and develop internal engineering solutions, tools, and reusable frameworks that support Professional Services Operations and Solution Delivery teams.

  • Contribute across solution architecture, frontend development, backend services, automation, integrations, and data-driven workflows.

  • Build frontend experiences using technologies such as React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern UI patterns.

  • Develop backend services, APIs, automation workflows, and integration layers using technologies such as Java, Spring, SQL, REST APIs, cloud services, or comparable platforms.

  • Design and maintain integrations across internal systems such as Salesforce, Jira, SharePoint, reporting tools, project delivery platforms, TeamViewer systems, and other operational applications.

  • Develop APIs, middleware, data mappings, workflow triggers, and automation logic that improve data flow, reduce duplicate entry, and connect end-to-end delivery processes.

  • Apply an AI-first mindset to identify responsible AI-assisted development practices, intelligent automations, internal copilots, and workflow improvements.

  • Partner with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements, system dependencies, governance needs, risks, and technical feasibility.

  • Create prototypes, proofs of concept, documentation, and production-ready internal tools that improve delivery, reporting, governance, and operational efficiency.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of software engineering, project engineering, solution engineering, or full stack development experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Strong understanding of solution architecture, modern web applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, automation, and data-driven systems.

  • Hands-on frontend experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, component-based design, and modern UI patterns.

  • Hands-on backend experience with Open Tofu, Terraform for optional as IaC, APIs, SQL, Microsoft Azure cloud services, automation, or comparable technologies.

  • Experience integrating enterprise systems, SaaS platforms, internal tools, workflow automation platforms, reporting solutions, and customer-facing environments.

  • Strong understanding of APIs, authentication, authorization, data mapping, event-driven workflows, error handling, monitoring, logging, and secure data exchange.

  • Ability to evaluate tradeoffs across scalability, maintainability, security, performance, usability, and delivery speed.

  • Strong documentation, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills in Agile or iterative delivery environments.

  • Experience supporting Professional Services, Solution Delivery, Customer Success, or implementation engineering teams.

  • Uses AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly to improve productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, solution design, and delivery enablement.

  • Identifies opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, reduce handoffs, streamline project workflows, and enable self-service capabilities.

  • Designs AI-enabled workflows, intelligent automations, internal copilots, and delivery accelerators that support operations, project execution, reporting, knowledge management, and integrations.

  • Uses prompt engineering, AI-assisted research, code generation, documentation generation, API analysis, and workflow automation while maintaining human oversight.

  • Balances experimentation with operational reliability, data protection, security, compliance, auditability, and long-term supportability.
