This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Engineer based in India.

As a Project Engineer, you will serve as a technical delivery resource for complex mid- to large-scale IT projects.
You will take ownership of implementations spanning infrastructure, cloud, systems integration, and enterprise technologies.
Working closely with project managers, engineers, clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams, you will drive projects from discovery through deployment and closeout.
The role combines hands-on technical expertise with structured project execution, stakeholder management, and quality assurance.
You will also play an important role in modernizing delivery through AI, automation, reusable playbooks, and scalable processes.

You will help establish consistent, secure, and efficient delivery practices across a diverse range of technology projects.

• Execute complex IT project implementations with limited oversight, taking ownership of technical delivery and ensuring agreed outcomes are achieved.
• Lead technical discovery, requirements analysis, solution design, system integration, infrastructure deployment, testing, and go-live activities.
• Develop project plans, schedules, resource requirements, implementation documentation, and task tracking to maintain delivery momentum.
• Coordinate planning, testing, deployment, documentation, and formal project closeout activities across internal teams, clients, vendors, and technology partners.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for project challenges, working with engineering and functional teams to identify solutions and resolve delivery issues.
• Gather technical and business requirements from clients and stakeholders and maintain clear alignment around scope, deliverables, timelines, and expectations.
• Facilitate project meetings, status updates, stakeholder reviews, and other project-related communications.
• Validate implementations against technical requirements, organizational standards, QA processes, and agreed project specifications.
• Contribute to the development of QA checklists, technical standards, documentation, and repeatable best practices that improve consistency across projects.
• Operate with an AI-native delivery mindset, incorporating AI and automation into requirements analysis, documentation, technical validation, risk identification, and optimization.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts, frameworks, orchestration workflows, and reusable playbooks that reduce manual effort and improve delivery consistency.
• Support integrations between systems, APIs, and automation platforms to enable scalable and repeatable deployments.
• Identify project risks, technical gaps, and optimization opportunities using AI-assisted analysis and other technical tools.
• Stay current with emerging AI and automation capabilities while applying them responsibly within appropriate security, privacy, and governance standards.

Requirements:

• 3–6+ years of experience in project engineering, technical project delivery, infrastructure engineering, or a comparable technical role.
• Demonstrated experience delivering infrastructure, cloud, IT transformation, or enterprise technology projects.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft enterprise technologies, including Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, endpoint management, Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS, Windows Server, and Azure architecture.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Experience working in MSP, consultancy, or client-facing technical environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with project delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of systems integration, APIs, automation platforms, and enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Ability to use AI-assisted tools and automation pragmatically to improve technical delivery, documentation, analysis, and operational efficiency.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, and maintain ownership through project completion.
• Relevant certifications are advantageous, including Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102), Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300), Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), VMware certifications, PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent credentials.
