Project Engineer, Europe

Energy Drive Systems is a global leader in industrial energy efficiency, delivering Intelligent Motor Control and Energy Efficiency-as-a-Service (EEaaS) solutions to heavy industry. As we continue expanding across Europe, we're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of technically complex projects throughout the region.

This is a senior, field-based role for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership—from technical design reviews through commissioning, optimisation and final client handover.

What you'll be doing

You'll lead the technical delivery of projects involving:

  • Medium & Low Voltage electrical systems
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Industrial automation and PLC/SCADA systems
  • Energy optimisation and industrial process improvements
  • Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT)
  • Commissioning, troubleshooting and client handover

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest engineering standards.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • 10+ years' experience delivering heavy industrial engineering projects
  • A background in Electrical Engineering, Automation or Mechatronics
  • Strong knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems and Variable Frequency Drives
  • Experience with industrial automation platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider or ABB
  • Commissioning and troubleshooting experience within live industrial environments
  • Professional fluency in English
  • Willingness to travel across Europe

Experience within steel, mining, manufacturing, utilities, process industries or other heavy industrial environments would be highly advantageous.
