Reporting to the Coordinator – Projects, you will be responsible for supportingthe planning, coordination, and execution of improvement initiatives across large-scale surface mining operations to improve productivity and project outcomes.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Ensure adherence to safe work practices and timely reporting and investigation of incidents.
Collaborate with respective production teams to deliver initiatives and integrate solutions into the project execution.
Optimize processes, systems across the operation, aiming to reduce mining costs and improve project economics.
Conduct in-depth data analyses to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement within the mining operations.
Reconcile assumptions used in design and scheduling work against recent actual performance, implementing options to improve performance.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all required reports.
Assist in preparing business plans and budgets for required study work.
Development and Implementation of long-term infrastructure design and execution details.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
Minimum of a Degree in Mining Engineering or related Engineering qualification.
A minimum of four (4) years mining engineering experience. Experience in open pit operations will be added advantage.
Proven experience with mine designing software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant engineering software.
Must be a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
Possession of a valid driver's licence will be an added advantage.
