Your Job
You will serve as the Project Engineer for the PSBU High Power group at Molex Malaysia–Penang, overseeing multiple projects across the full lifecycle from feasibility through New Product Introduction (NPI). Your primary purpose is to drive projects to completion on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards by combining technical knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and detailed project execution.
Our Team
This role is part of a dynamic group of highly skilled professionals focused on continuous learning and innovation within the High-Power product category. You will lead projects from idea through high-volume production and work closely with a global cross-functional team of design engineers, product managers, quality engineers, plant and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
What You Will Do
• Responsible for the successful completion of several projects.
• Monitor the overall project schedule, define the critical path, and hold team members accountable for meeting agreed-upon deadlines.
• Act as a subject-matter expert on the Product Development Process (PDP).
• Challenge the status quo to improve the team’s standard practices and procedures.
• Develop and manage project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Coordinate and lead project team meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or risks.
• Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, including preparing and presenting project reports.
• Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
• Facilitate project change management processes, including managing scope changes and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Lead and mentor team members in project management principles and Product Development Process (PDP) practices.
• Act as the primary interface between project management and plant teams.
• Collaborate with Global Product Managers and Engineering teams to design and qualify products.
• Work with manufacturing teams to qualify tools and deliver the required parts/solutions.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or engineering equivalent.
• Experience leading projects or equivalent engineering experience.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (MS Project preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Flexibility to work across time zone (USA & Asia Time zone); availability to participate in off-hours calls as needed to accommodate global teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven problem-solving and decision-making capability

• Engineering or related degree (additional/advanced credentials).
• Mechanical design or manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing projects.
• Program management experience.
• PMP certification.
• SAP experience.
• New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
