Lendlease WA is seeking a Project Engineer to join our project in Perth CBD to help deliver a long-term project.


In this position, you will play an integral role in managing subcontractors and suppliers to deliver a successful construction project. This includes developing and maintaining construction programs, implementing the project procurement strategy, value engineering, managing quality and ensuring high levels of Health and Safety at all times.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in planning, executing, and closing out construction projects.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings and specifications for constructability and compliance.
  • Monitor and track project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, identifying potential delays or cost overruns.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Participate in project meetings, contributing technical expertise and problem-solving solutions.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures on site.
  • Support the development and implementation of site safety plans and ensure adherence by all personnel.
  • Assist in the procurement process, including evaluating bids and managing vendor relationships.


About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Aconex, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various project sites as required.
  • Familiarity with Australian building codes and standards is highly desirable.
