Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team based in Kildare The successful candidate will work across large-scale civil infrastructure projects, providing technical expertise and supporting project delivery from planning through to completion. This role is ideal for an ambitious engineer looking to progress their career within a leading contractor. The preferred candidate will possess strong civil engineering experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the planning and execution of large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
2. Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
3. Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
4. Monitor project progress and report on key milestones to senior management.
5. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
6. Support the preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
7. Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions on-site.
8. Liaise with clients and consultants to maintain strong working relationships.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally on infrastructure projects.
3. Strong understanding of construction processes and regulatory compliance.
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Full, clean driving license.
