An established manufacturing and engineering company is seeking a Project Engineer to join their growing team in Kilkenny. The organisation delivers high-quality stainless steel fabrication solutions across industrial, pharmaceutical and commercial sectors. The successful candidate will bring a strong engineering foundation and a proactive approach to supporting multidisciplinary projects from design through to delivery.
This role offers exposure to mechanical fabrication, structural steel and electrical and automation systems, with regular collaboration across internal teams and client sites.
Responsibilities
• Support the coordination of engineering and fabrication projects from design through to installation and commissioning
• Work closely with design, production and logistics teams to assist project planning and execution
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with fabrication and installation requirements
• Assist workshop and site teams to maintain project progress in line with programme
• Attend client sites for installations, inspections and coordination activities
• Maintain project documentation, reports and technical records
• Identify project risks early and support the team in resolving issues
• Ensure all activities comply with safety and quality standards
• Support communication between project managers, clients and technical teams
Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing, fabrication or industrial environment
• Strong communication skills with ability to engage with technical teams and clients
• Willingness to travel to client sites and work across workshop and field environments
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Full clean driving licence
