Job Title
Project EngineerA Civil Engineer – QA/QC (Quality Assurance / Quality Control) is responsible for ensuring that construction work meets required quality standards, specifications, and project requirements. About the Role:
1. Quality Assurance Responsibilities
•Develop and implementQuality Assurance and Quality Control plansfor
construction projects.
•Ensure work is carried out as perapproved drawings, specifications, and
contract documents
•PrepareInspection Test Plans (ITP)and method statements.
•Review project quality procedures and ensure compliance with project standards.
2. Inspection & Testing
•Conductsite inspectionsfor civil works such as concrete, reinforcement,
formwork, masonry, and finishing works.
•Ensure all materials used at site areapproved and testedas per specifications.
•Coordinate with laboratories formaterial testing(cement, steel, concrete cube
tests, aggregates, etc.).
•Verifyfield density tests, slump tests, cube casting, and other quality checks.
3. Documentation
•MaintainQA/QC documentationsuch as inspection reports, checklists, test
reports, and NCR (Non-Conformance Reports).
•Prepare and submitdaily, weekly, and monthly quality reports
•Maintainmaterial approval records and test certificates
4. Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions
•Identifyquality issues and deviationsfrom specifications.
•IssueNCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)and ensure corrective actions are
implemented.
•Monitor rectification work and ensure compliance.
5. Coordination
•Coordinate withsite engineers, consultants, contractors, and project
managersfor quality-related matters.•Attendsite inspections with consultants/clientsfor approvals.
6. Compliance & Standards
•Ensure construction activities followrelevant codes, standards, and safety
requirements
•Monitor adherence toISO quality standards and project quality procedures
About You:
•Knowledge ofconstruction materials and testing procedures
•Understanding ofIS codes and quality standards
•Ability to prepareinspection reports and QA/QC documentation
•Good communication and coordination skills
•B.E./B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering
•6–8 years’ experiencein construction quality control (depending on role)
