
Ryan Companies has an immediate hiring need for a Project Engineer in our Minneapolis office. This is an in-office role 4 days per week, 1 day work-from home. The Project Engineer will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects with a focus on learning Ryan processes, procedures and business policies.
The objective is to educate the employee in field and office operations while working from a construction project site for a minimum of six months and preferably for the duration of an entire construction project.
Some things you can expect to do:
Help generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals.
Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination.
Learn project dimensional control requirements while field verifying dimensions to back check the shop drawing approval process.
Assist in the coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
Gain an understanding for overall site logistics.
Participate in and gain an understanding of the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.
Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on Punchlist inspections, record Punchlist items and monitor completion of Punchlist work.
Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule
Some things you should expect to have:
Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field.
Able to perform mathematical calculations, understand architectural and engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost-coding systems.
Able to assume responsibility, interface & communicate effectively.
Compensation:
The salary range is $70,000 - $81,000. The salary base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
