Position type: Exempt

Project management of capital equipment installations.

Responsibilities Would Include:

  • Work in a team environment with plant engineering, maintenance and department personnel. Attend plant engineering project and safety meetings.

  • Equipment and Process Design. Effectively communicate equipment and process engineering information to the design staff. Provide technical assistance to the maintenance, manufacturing, and plant services departments to assist in troubleshooting equipment, instrumentation, and process problems.

  • Have knowledge of OSHA and other applicable industry standards. Project Management of Moderately-sized Capital projects ($10k - $1M). Project Estimating and Budgeting.

  • Time management and Gantt charting. Solicit and evaluate product and service quotations from various vendors.

  • Interface with and direct contracted vendors during equipment and process installations. Participate in GTP environmental and safety activities to ensure a safe and environmentally compliant workplace.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science or higher in an Engineering discipline such as Chemical, Electrical Power or Controls, Facilities or Mechanical Engineering. 4-8 years of proven technical ability and experience.

  • Project Management skills. Six Sigma and 5S skills preferred

  • Computer skills, especially with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, SAP

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communications. Demonstrated excellent customer service.

  • Proven team leadership skills.
