Our award-winning client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team.Our client, a global leader in high-performance battery separators, seeks a skilled Project Engineer to oversee and manage various facilities and construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will drive projects to timely and budget-conscious delivery while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Prioritize safety throughout all project phases.
• Manage and coordinate projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Conduct regular site visits, monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with facilities management, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Collaborate with external contractors, vendors, and consultants to deliver projects to the highest standards.
• Develop and manage project documentation, contracts, RFIs, change orders, and punch lists. Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project team members.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize impact on timelines and budgets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, project sponsors, vendors, and community leaders.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in facilities and construction project management.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in project management software, including scheduling and budgeting tools.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience with LEAN and continuous improvement systems (TPM, 5S, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in drawing, blueprints, CAD, Microsoft Office, Procore, or PlanGrid.
• Knowledge of engineering standards (ASME, ANSI, NFPA, ISO, IEC, OSHA).
• Certifications in project management (PMP, LEED AP, CCM, etc.) preferred.
• Experience with sustainable design and energy-efficient systems.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
