  • Partner closely with Product Management, UX, Cloud Operations, Support, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality returns capabilities aligned to roadmap commitments and customer outcomes.
  • Drive enterprise engineering practices that improve quality, scalability, reliability, performance, security, maintainability, and operational readiness across services and applications.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team, creating clarity of priorities, accountability, and growth opportunities.
  • Own delivery execution for assigned Returns Development roadmap commitments, ensuring predictable planning, high-quality delivery, and transparent communication of progress, risks, and dependencies.

  • Partner with Product Management to translate roadmap priorities, customer needs, and business outcomes into well-defined engineering plans and releases.
  • Drive Agile delivery practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, execution tracking, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
  • Improve engineering excellence through code quality, automated testing, CI/CD practices, observability, operational readiness, defect reduction, and root cause analysis.
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies with adjacent product, platform, cloud, support, and implementation teams to ensure successful end-to-end solution delivery.
  • Support customer escalations and production issues by ensuring timely technical investigation, clear communication, and durable corrective actions.
  • Build team capability through hiring, onboarding, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Use data, KPIs, and engineering metrics to assess team health, delivery performance, quality trends, and opportunities for improvement.

What we are looking for:

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on experience building solutions for complex problems.
  • Proven experience leading delivery of enterprise-grade SaaS, cloud-hosted, or cloud-native applications at scale.
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to guide architecture, collaborate on design, and troubleshoot delivery decisions; prior hands-on software development experience is required.
  • Experience with microservices, APIs, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead Agile teams and manage planning, execution, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, feedback, performance management, hiring, and developing engineering talent.
  • Quality-first mindset with experience using engineering metrics, production insights, and root cause analysis to improve product and team outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Supply chain, warehouse, returns, inventory, commerce, or logistics domain experience is preferred.
