The Aeroderivative data center ITR Project Director (PD) manages the Aero Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) projects. Collaborates with project managers responsible for delivering a defined scope on time, maintaining budget and deliver quality and EHS results.
The Project Director is responsible for the profit and loss of the project by delivering the project within the time, the budget and the cash targets in the required quality whilst optimizing the margin.
The Project Director has primary responsibility for defining, planning, controlling and managing the enterprise project, for identifying key resources with the line management and providing the direction they require in order to meet project objectives. The Project Director also ensures appropriate management, ensures compliance with business directives and EHS standards, customer and supplier involvement throughout the life of the project. The Project Director work with Sales and ITO team to develop and deliver scope of supply, align delivery schedule and works with Projects controls team to deliver cost and schedule for the deals.
This role does not have direct reports.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
When assigned to support ITO
· Works with the ITO phase team and the sales leaders for the allocated project to develop and finalize the project execution strategy
· Participate in risk reviews during ITO phase
· Ensure adherence to D1-D4 process
· Delivers cost and schedule as needed to close the deals.
During project Start-up
· Drives internal handover meeting (ITO to OTR), OTR support as per handover procedure(s)
· Translate generalized business objectives and priorities into concrete strategy and tactical plans
· Ensure timely appointments of key project team members
During project Execution
· Manage the allocated project in order to achieve the project goals and objectives
· Manage and lead the whole project team in order to achieve and further improve the cost, schedule, quality and EHS targets
· Own, maintain and revise the project execution strategy. Establish, implement and maintain operating standards to ensure quality project results and customer satisfaction
· Ensure project compliance to local regulations and EHS requirements.
· Perform proper risk and opportunity management.
· Analyze risks, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigation action. To plan, cost and schedule reporting, and change management
· Initiate and execute gate reviews as appropriate
· Prepare and perform senior management project reviews as requested
· Provide input justification for project costs and budget impacts
· Develop and maintain corresponding relationships with customer, partners and main subcontractors to ensure smooth operation of projects and smooth dispute resolution
· Conduct progress review meetings with customer, partners and/or main subcontractors
· Perform negotiations with customers, partners and/or main subcontractors
· Define effective claim strategies towards customer, partners and/or main subcontractors
· Resolve issues related to customer relations, partner relations and/or main subcontractors relations, governmental relations, project quality, project risk and project safety
· Influence selection of team members with responsible line function
· Gain commitment on the performance of activities with team members and their managers
· Manage and communicate a clear vision of the projects objectives, and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance by team members
· Establish and publish clear priorities among project activities
· Arbitrate and resolve conflict and interface problems within the project team
· Effectively coordinate the activities of the team to meet project milestones
· Coach to clarify assignments and deliverables; mentor others in project management practices; review quality of work and manages team members work
· Provide input to project people performance reviews to functions
· Authority to instruct project team members on all project related issues
· Authority to sign correspondence and documents with third parties according to the applicable signature procedure
· Capture return of experience and best practice
· Determine what constitutes successful acceptance conditions for all parties such as but not limited to customer and/or partners and subcontractors. Gain acceptance and sign-off by all these parties
· Ensure adherence to the determined escalation process
· Drive proper hand over from OTR Project Team to Power Services in timely manner.
Basic / Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear or Civil) or Business Management
· Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management managing scope, schedule, and cost for complex technical projects within power generation and/or energy segment.

· Experience with technical proposal development and contract negotiations
· Demonstrated project management skills in fast‑paced, changing environments
· Collaborative leadership style that builds accountability and high‑performing teams
· Highly organized, self‑driven, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
· PMP certification, Master’s degree in Engineering, or MBA is a plus
· Familiarity with industrial or power plant system design and specifications
