CVC DIF, the infrastructure strategy of leading global private markets manager CVC, is the majority shareholder in Low Carbon. Working alongside MassMutual, CVC DIF will enable Low Carbon to significantly expand its installed capacity and drive the next stage of growth as a diversified, leading next-generation IPP.

As a Senior Project Development Manager at Low Carbon, you will be responsible for guiding a portfolio of wind and BESS projects through key development phases from land securing (handled by the Land Acquisition team) to achieving Ready-to-Build (RTB) status. We are looking for someone who can efficiently manage multiple administrative, technical, and environmental processes while ensuring project timelines and profitability. The ideal candidate is independent, responsible, effective, and experienced in managing wind project development processes.

This role is a hybrid role based in Warsaw and your home. You must have a valid category B driver's license and be a fluent English speaker.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative process management: Overseeing the acquisition of key permits and decisions, including Environmental Decisions (EIA), Zoning Decisions, or extracts from Local Spatial Development Plans (MPZP).
  • Grid connection conditions: Managing processes related to obtaining Grid Connection Conditions and connection agreements with transmission and distribution system operators (TSO/DSO).
  • Subcontractor management: Coordinating the work of design offices, environmental consultants, and legal advisors.
  • Technical design: Supervising the optimization of turbine layout and coordinating the preparation of construction designs.
  • Stakeholder relations: Building and maintaining positive relationships with local authorities, communities, and landowners.
  • Budget and schedule: Monitoring project risks, ensuring key milestones are met, and reporting progress directly to Low Carbon management.
  • M&A and Due Diligence support: Responsible for the substantive evaluation of wind projects at the acquisition stage. Identifying risks (red flags) in lease agreements, spatial planning documents (MPZP/Study), and the feasibility of grid connection
  • Local visits working closely with municipalities and local communities to ensure positive planning for wind and BESS projects

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in a project development role in the renewable energy market
  • Experience in developing onshore wind energy projects from greenfield to RTB stage
  • Knowledge of administrative permitting and environmental approval processes
  • Ability to work with stakeholders (landowners, municipalities, authorities)
  • Good understanding of the renewable energy market in Poland / Europe
  • Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate multiple processes simultaneously
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Valid Category B driver’s license and willingness to travel for business
  • University degree (e.g. energy, environmental engineering, geography, spatial planning, or a related field) or equivalent experience
