General Description

The Project Development Coordinator plays a key role in advancing our solar, wind, and battery projects with a focus on repowering our wind portfolio across EDPR’s operating portfolio throughout North America. This position supports project teams by driving organization, coordination and execution across a wide range of development activities. The Coordinator will work closely with internal stake holders, including Legal, Accounting, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations, as well as external partners such as landowners and community stakeholders to help keep projects moving forward efficiently and effectively.

Main responsibilities:

    • Coordinate workflows between the development team with legal, accounting, engineering, procurement, operations, and other departments
    • Research, organize and track project permitting requirements, and support permit application submittals and permit requirements
    • Support landowner and community outreach efforts and events
    • Request and obtain property owner legal agreements such as option, lease, and easement agreements from the legal department
    • Proofread legal agreements to ensure accuracy prior to mailing agreements to landowners
    • Identify, organize, file, and share property owner documentation across internal departments including for payment processing
    • Support GIS mapping efforts including quality checks for land map accuracy
    • Efficiently collect information using customer and land management systems
    • Answer inquiries from landowners at operating projects
    • Onboard new vendors
    • Obtain Service Agreements from the legal department
    • Obtain Purchase Orders through the procurement team and track vendor payments
    • Develop and maintain training manuals and programs for the development team to navigate internal administrative processes
    • Conduct trainings with the development department for land property management, SAP, and other software and company processes
    • Work with Corporate Service Department to improve the procurement to payment process and other administrative processes
    • Accurately and efficiently input landowner, stakeholder and project data into internal software programs
    • Additional duties as required

What are we looking for

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Communications, Public Affairs or a related field
  • 0 – 2 years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy or a related industry
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (particularly Teams, Outlook, and OneNote)
  • Basic knowledge of Arc GIS preferred
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise (Preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license required

Travel:

Up to 30%

Physical demands & working conditions:

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
  • Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
