Discipline: Project Design Manager

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Hours: Approx 40hrs/week, Mon-Fri

Start date: Immediate

Duration: Permanent

The Role:

Our client is currently recruiting for a Project Design Manager for a major construction project on Hinkley Point C. Their scope of work includes the installation, operations, maintenance of utilities systems including the clients potable supply network, water management network, sewerage network and sewage treatment assets. Duties will include:

• The delivery of preconstruction scopes, designs and briefs for tendering
• Management of in house and external design resources
• Project management reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Production of documentation ensuring commercial parameters on projects are adhered to
• Managing programmes and ensuring design delivery dates and other technical milestones are achieved
• Ensuring works are designed to recognised guidelines and standards
• Ensure correct Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to

Requirements:

• Degree or Higher Level qualification
• Project design management experience on large scale construction projects, ideally in the power generation sector
• Highly proficient in IT, numeracy and written communications
• Excellent team player
• Full driving licence
• Flexibility towards project workloads
