Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Design Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will assist in creating technical designs, layouts, and simulations for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar rooftop projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience in the fast-growing renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities:

Design & Engineering

  • Conduct site surveys and collect technical information required for solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) design.
  • Design rooftop solar PV and energy storage systems in accordance with applicable Vietnamese regulations, EVN requirements, TCVN standards, IEC standards, and company engineering standards.
  • Prepare preliminary layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), detailed engineering drawings, cable routing, equipment layouts, and construction drawings using AutoCAD and other engineering software.
  • Perform PV system simulations using PVsyst and prepare technical feasibility studies, energy yield analysis, and performance calculations.
  • Prepare equipment sizing, Bill of Quantity (BOQ), and technical specifications.
  • Review and optimize engineering designs to improve system performance, constructability, safety, and cost effectiveness

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with the HQ Design team throughout design development, review, and approval processes.
  • Support the Business Development team by preparing preliminary designs, technical proposals, and customer presentations.
  • Coordinate with Project Engineers during project execution to resolve engineering issues and provide timely design revisions.
  • Review subcontractor drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.
  • Prepare tender drawings, shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings.

Quality & Documentation

  • Ensure CAD standards, document control procedures, and drawing revision processes are consistently followed.
  • Support engineering documentation required for customer submissions, authority approvals, and project handover.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately and within project schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Solar PV design (C&I rooftop experience preferred).
  • Experience in EPC project design and engineering coordination is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of Vietnamese electrical regulations, TCVN, IEC standards, and EVN interconnection requirements.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in PVsyst.
  • Familiar with SketchUp, Helioscope, or equivalent engineering software is an advantage.
  • Experience preparing BOQ, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Ability to independently perform site surveys and prepare preliminary designs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams and HQ.
  • Good command of written and spoken English is an advantage.
