Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pre-project solutioning activities, including requirement clarification, feasibility assessment, impact analysis, solution option review, high-level estimation and preparation of inputs required for project approval.
  • Work with business users, internal technology teams, regional teams and vendors to assess proposed solutions, identify dependencies, highlight delivery and operational risks, and ensure solutions are supportable from both project and BAU perspectives.
  • Manage and support end-to-end project delivery activities, including project planning, timeline tracking, scope management, issue and risk follow-up, stakeholder updates, project documentation and governance reporting.
  • Coordinate project execution across SIT, UAT, dress rehearsal, production deployment, go-live and post-implementation activities to ensure changes are delivered with proper control and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Work closely with business users and technology teams to clarify requirements, validate functional and technical changes, support testing activities, and ensure defects or issues are followed up to closure.
  • Provide hands-on application support for Retail applications, including production incident follow-up, service requests, user enquiries, defect triage, issue investigation and coordination with relevant technology teams or vendors.
  • Monitor and support BAU production activities after implementation, including application stability, production verification, recurring issue follow-up, operational readiness and timely escalation of critical issues.
  • Support post-implementation stabilization and ongoing BAU support for implemented applications, including issue tracking, workaround coordination, permanent fix follow-up and closure of post-go-live action items.
  • Liaise with infrastructure, security, network, operations, application and vendor teams on project implementation, production support, system maintenance, patches, fixes and technical issue resolution.
  • Maintain proper project and support documentation, including project plans, issue logs, risk registers, implementation checklists, support procedures, escalation paths and knowledge base updates.
  • Support change and release management activities by ensuring required approvals, implementation plans, deployment verification and post-change validation are properly completed.
  • Provide timely updates to stakeholders on project progress, production issues, support status, risks, dependencies and required follow-up actions.
  • Assist in vendor coordination, including RFP/RFQ support, solution discussions, delivery tracking, incident follow-up, defect resolution, invoice or payment follow-up and service expectation management.
  • Ensure project delivery and BAU support activities comply with internal IT policies, regulatory requirements, audit expectations, information security standards and operational risk controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years of technology experience, preferably with a combination of project delivery, application support and hands-on technical exposure.
  • Good understanding of project lifecycle activities, including requirement clarification, solution assessment, estimation, planning, delivery, testing, implementation and post-implementation support.
  • Hands-on application support capability, including incident analysis, issue triage, troubleshooting coordination, defect tracking and production verification.
  • Able to communicate effectively with business users, project stakeholders, internal technology teams and vendors on requirements, project progress, production issues and support actions.
  • Strong follow-up discipline with the ability to manage project tasks, support issues, risks, dependencies and action items through to closure.
  • Functional knowledge in some of the following areas:
  • Loan origination, including secured and unsecured loans
  • Regulatory reporting and operational control requirements
  • Previous experience in banking-related project implementation, application configuration, software quality assurance, testing or development support.
  • Familiar with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to apply the appropriate approach based on project and support needs.
  • Experience in cloud implementation or support, especially AWS, will be an added advantage.
