Job Description

You’re ready to work on everything from city-shaping work, to delivering smaller-scale projects that connect regions and improve local communities.

You'll make a tangible impact on the people of NSW, using your finance and accounting skills to help build a sustainable and thriving transport network for generations to come.

In this role, you'll:

  • Provide expert cost management and control services to a large and complex project
  • Review and analyse project costs in a timely manner in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Ensure timely and accurate charging to correct WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), including labour resource mapping
  • Manage labour costing and compliance reporting
  • Labour recovery analysis
  • Track commitments and maintain the Purchase Order Register
  • Monitor and validate supply costs per WBS
  • Prepare accruals, journals and support period end processes
  • Load and maintain forecasts and provide variance analysis

This is a fixed term role (until 28th February 2028)

About you

  • Experience in cost control, analysis or financial operations within complex environments
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to explain cost insights to technical and non technical audiences
  • Collaborative, organised and proactive
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • Knowledge in CATS (Cost Application Timesheet System) (desirable)
  • CPA/CA (preferable)
