Job Description

If you’re after impact, there’s no other organisation in Australia that delivers work on this scale.

This is your opportunity to broaden your experience and perspectives, step out of the confines of a standard project role and expand your scope to work with an interconnected ecosystem of industry professionals.

In this role, you'll:

Be responsible for supporting the planning, implementation and evaluation of complex projects within the Opal Next Generation (ONG) program to achieve key outcomes, supporting the achievement of program objectives.

Working alongside Project Managers, you will provide support in carrying out a range of project management activities for one or more key ONG projects. This will include assisting in developing project plans, coordinating project resourcing, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities, ensuring project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards, in line with established agency project management methodologies.

You will monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and issue management, project impact and quality measures, identifying and addressing issues, assessing project progress and effectiveness, and achieving project outcomes. Your focus will be very much on execution, organisation, and communication.

The Opal Next Gen program refers to the full modernisation of the Opal ticketing system to deliver smarter, digital-first, integrated public transport across NSW.
