Coordinator – Southern West- Bank (Bethlehem and Hebron)


Location: MA’AN Ramallah/Hebron Office

Reports to: Project Manager

Position Type and Duration: 12 months

Start Date: ASAP

Target Locations: Bethlehem and Hebron Governorates


Project Objective:

To
supports human rights in the West Bank by advancing inclusive,
climate-resilient development that improves food access, expands economic
opportunities, and protects the environment for all, especially vulnerable
communities.


Job Purpose:


MA’AN Development Canter is seeking a qualified and committed

Project
Coordinator

to support the implementation of the project


Revitalization of Sustainable Local Economies through Climate Smart Agriculture in Areas B
and C of the West Bank


implemented in partnership with the

World Vision and funded by The Spanish Agency for International
Development Cooperation (AECID).


The
Project Coordinator will ensure effective day-to-day coordination of field
activities, including providing support to CBOs and Cooperatives

by
advancing inclusive, climate-resilient development that improves food access,
expands economic opportunities, and protects the environment for all,
especially vulnerable communities.


The Project Coordinator will oversee and facilitate all project
activities in

Bethlehem

and

Hebron

governorates (30 communities).
The position requires close coordination with Local Directorates of
Agriculture, village councils, community representatives, contractors,
suppliers to ensure effective and high-quality implementation, in line with
MA’AN, World Vision and Donor standards and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


·

Coordinate and oversee project activities under the guidance of the
Project Manager.


·

Work closely with the targeted CBOs and support them in implementing
project activities


·

Conduct regular field visits to verify beneficiary selection, monitor
progress, and ensure quality and accountability.


·

Supervise the implementation of activities such as advancing inclusive,
climate-resilient development, improves food access, expand economic
opportunities, and
protects the environment for all, especially vulnerable communities.


·

Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, collect data, and
ensure accountability and quality.


·

Assist in
procurement processes, including site assessments, contractor supervision, and
delivery verification.


·

Promote gender equality, inclusion, and youth participation across all
project components.


·

Collaborate with the Project Manager and MEAL team to monitor
indicators, document lessons learned, and report on outcomes.


·

Prepare and submit timely weekly and monthly field reports.


·

Represent MA’AN at the local level and ensure clear communication with
all stakeholders.


·

Uphold MA’AN’s Code of Conduct, Child Protection Policy, and
accountability standards.


Requirements


Qualifications:


Education:


o

Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Nutrition, Economy, Environmental
Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.


Experience:

  • Minimum

    3 years

    of relevant experience
    in coordinating field activities for development projects, preferably in Agriculture,
    Environmental protection, Smart Agriculture, Climate Change mitigation, food
    security, or livelihoods.

  • Experience
    working in Area C, Agriculture and livestock CBOs and with vulnerable
    communities is a strong advantage.

  • Familiarity
    with donor-funded project implementation and compliance.

  • Practical
    experience in community mobilization, beneficiary registration/verification,
    and managing in-kind distributions.

  • Valid
    driver’s license and ability to travel frequently across the southern region.


Professional Skills:

Strong organizational and coordination abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


o

Good command of Arabic and English (spoken and written).


o

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.


o

Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Work
Conditions


  • The work schedule is 40 hours per week.

  • The probation period is 3 months and can be extended to another 3
    months according the Labor Law.

  • Annual leave: 21 working days/year

  • National and Religious leave: 16 days per year.

  • Sick leave: 14 days/year

  • Indemnity Payment: Equivalent to one
    month’s salary for each complete year of service.

  • Reimbursement for work related transportation expenses is according to
    MA’AN’s by- laws.

  • Time flexibility is recognized by both parties with consideration that
    this position might need to do part of the work after 4:00pm.
