Job Description

As part of the Java Group, Victor Energy’s staff have over 50 years of experience building some of Canada’s largest electrical infrastructure projects.

As our team grows and projects are beginning to take off, we are seeking a Project Coordinator to provide collaborative support for our project execution team.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Project Manager by interfacing with applicable team members to deliver assigned projects. This role is responsible to continuously interface and coordinate with internal team members, clients, and other project stakeholders on a variety of tasks. This position is construction site-based, on a shift schedule. Projects could be anywhere across Canada.

Requirements

Your background and credentials must include:

• Degree or certification in business administration, project management, or a related field
• 2 to 4 years’ experience in a fast paced administrative or coordinator role
• Utility construction experience is a strong asset, including working in a construction office at site
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are confident interacting with key contacts at all levels in verbal, written and electronic form
• Exceptional eye for detail and organizational skills in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of project management and/or scheduling software such as MS Project.
• Proven ability to understand construction administration and contract commercial terms
• Analytical skills and a logical, independent problem solver
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Be able to work from a project site office and able to be away from home for extended periods of time
