Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$34.170 - $44.090 - $49.370

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.


What You Will Do
Support of Facilities Management and Development Department.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 Years related experience in construction, facilities, project coordination, contract administration, and/or project management.
  • Driver's License - CA Department of Motor Vehicles -REQUIRED


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with contracts, design process, leasing, purchasing and procurement, construction process, construction documents, cost estimating, building codes, project development, and project management.
  • Experience in Commercial Real Estate


Other Qualification Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Accounting, or other related field; or 2 years of relevant experience can substitute for degree. - REQUIRED
    • Utilizes reliable transportation and possesses adequate personal insurance coverage. Demonstrates clean driving record in accordance with requirements of the employer DMV pull notice program and Sharp HealthCare Driver Guidelines.


    Essential Functions

    • Administrative Responsibilities
      The role requires maintaining orderly project records and handling electronic document filing.
      Additional administrative responsibilities include data entry, blueprint reproduction, preparing documents for electronic signature, maintaining vendor database, and distributing on-site mail.
    • Quality and Customer Service
      All dealings with customers and staff should be conducted in a positive, professional and cooperative manner.
      Assures that communication between all Project Team members is timely and complete.
      Maintains a positive relationship with all stakeholders; respond to internal and external customer in a timely manner and follow up to assure that customer needs are met.
      This position requires communication with all levels of internal and external clients. Professional responses, both written and verbal are required.
    • Financial Management

      Responsible for timely processing of invoices, including confirmation of available budget and notification if insufficient budget remains to cover invoice.
      Submission and routing of purchase orders, contracts, change orders, and correspondence to Project Manager(s) for approval.
    • Project Coordination

      Project coordination and contract administration duties and assistance as needed; this includes, but is not limited to: coordination, logging, uploading, distribution, and archiving of all project documentation (ie, RFP’s, Permits, contracts, leases, submittal items, safety and daily reports, RFI’s, ASI’s, CORs, Closeout, etc.).
      Responsible for distributing and filing executed agreements, addenda, plan revisions, notices of award or non-award, and ensuring proper transmittals for project documentation.
      The processing, collection, maintenance, and logging of insurance certificates, preliminary liens, and lien releases.
      Create and maintain a complete project directory, including names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, and area of responsibility for all parties involved in the project.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Knowledge of contract law, design process, construction documents, cost estimating, building codes, project development and project management.
    • Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
    • Must demonstrate excellent organization and decision-making skills.
    • Must work occasional evenings and weekends.
    • Establishes priorities and follow through on projects, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision.
    • Effective interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with various personalities within the Sharp HealthCare system.
    • Must be able to develop a means to keep others informed of progress on project and items that need a decision.
    • Effective and concise written communication skills.
