The Project Coordinator of Facilities and Engineering support the corporate project engineering team and facilities by enhancing organizational efficiency through asset management and optimizing project workflows. This role ensures cohesive operations between facility management and engineering, focusing on cost-effective processes.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with internal departments, vendors, and contractors to manage project costs and asset management. Collaborate with Accounting to establish and track assets, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with vendors throughout the project lifecycle for accurate billing and pricing.
  • Monitor and report on infrastructure and engineering projects to ensure compliance with state, local, federal, and corporate standards. Analyze contractor time for accuracy and oversee capital projects, providing variance explanations and weekly cost analyses to the steering team.
  • Analyze project data independently to develop recommendations that improve project efficiency and reduce costs. Provide insights and support to project teams to ensure effective budgeting and execution.
  • Ensure facility drawings are standardized and secure, assisting departments in accessing essential documentation. Support engineering teams with AutoCAD work on active projects and collect production data to aid in future project planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in engineering, project management, or a related field
  • Five plus years of experience in accounting or a related field with a solid understanding of financial principles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Competency in AutoCAD and SAP systems.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, especially in food processing or manufacturing environments.

Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment: The work environment can be in the plant and/or in an office. Wide variations in environment (temperature, dust, humidity), noise, slippery floors and moving equipment. You must wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required. The work environment is an office environment with standard temperatures and normal office noise levels.

Physical Demands: Office Environment - sitting with little to no lifting or other physical demands/Facility Environment - extensive standing at times, sitting, lifting, wearing factory required equipment while working in production, walking, visual and responding quickly to sounds.

Position Type: This is a full-time, salaried exempt position.

Travel: Must be willing to travel to different facilities and different job sites when needed.
