The Global Centre of Excellence in Drone and Geospatial Technologies is a group of experts, consultants, and engineers unique within the organization, operating at the intersection of business, technology, and spatial data. We support clients from the private and public sectors, as well as development institutions, wherever drone, satellite, and GIS data help make better decisions and streamline key processes. We are looking for:
Project Coordinator Drone and Geospatial Technologies
Your future role
- Coordinating the day-to-day execution of drone and geospatial related projects, from planning through delivery,
- Acting as the point of contact between clients, subcontractors, drone pilots, data providers, technical/photogrammetry teams, and other stakeholders,
- Planning and scheduling drone missions, including logistics, permits, and resource allocation,
- Monitoring project timelines and deliverables, ensuring milestones and quality standards are met,
- Supporting risk assessment and compliance with aviation regulations and safety procedures,
- Preparing and maintaining project documentation, status reports, and client-facing presentations,
- Facilitating communication and information flow between clients and technical teams (drone pilots, GIS, photogrammetry),
- Conducting market research on emerging technologies related to unmanned systems (sea, air, land), Earth Observation, Location Intelligence and geospatial tools,
- Supporting the design and improvement of internal project management workflows, tools, and best practices.
Apply if you have
- Passion for drone technologies, GIS, photogrammetry, and earth observation platforms, with an interest in the operational and business side of such projects,
- Strong project coordination, organizational, and multitasking skills, with attention to detail,
- Familiarity with spatial data concepts, drone data workflows, or related tools
- Eagerness to learn quickly, both in project management practices and technical/consulting knowledge,
- Degree in Project Management, Geodesy and Cartography, Geoinformatics, Spatial Management, Aviation/Unmanned Systems, Geography or similar fields,
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in a similar role, coordinating projects preferably within the drone/UAV, photogrammetry, or geospatial sector
- Experience or familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) is an advantage,
- Understanding of drone/UAV regulations and permitting processes is a plus,
- Very good command of the English language as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills (C1 preferable) - essential in day-to-day cooperation with clients and internal teams,
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously,
- Willingness to travel to various clients and countries globally,
- Openness to international assignments and adapting to diverse work environments.
