Job Summary:

This internship within the Customer Experience team offers an exciting opportunity to support the organisation of gategroup’s presence at the WTCE: World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo.

This 6-month, full-time internship provides a dynamic learning environment and hands-on exposure to gategroup’s important customer engagement event. The intern will work closely with cross-functional and international teams to ensure successful event delivery.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Customer Experience team
  • Work closely with hospitality & culinary team, brand & marketing and corporate communications teams to develop WTCE manuals and guidelines.
  • Support the Customer Experience project team by:
  • Preparing key event schedules
  • Developing content for presentations
  • Coordinating activities and organizing meetings
  • Support internal event project workstreams such as staffing, participants, meetings.
  • Assist in the organization of pre-event sessions, seminars and trainings for the global commercial and participants team.
  • Provide administrative and organizational support for booth construction and event operations at WTCE.
  • Coordinate media or corporate events in collaboration with the HR and Communications teams during the WTCE.
  • Work in close collaboration with key stakeholders to support in organizing customer meetings and visits throughout the WTCE.

Core competencies and requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Hospitality, or related field.

Technical / Language skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite (Proficient Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an asset.

Core Competencies Required:

  • Strong organizational skills with basic project management knowledge.
  • Interest in planning and executing events. Strong attention to detail with a results-driven mindset and passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  • Comfortable working under pressure with a proactive attitude.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome challenges.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, team player.
