Major duties and responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clerical support for a project office.
• Maintain contract records, plans and specifications, and related engineering and administrative records.
• Work under the direction of the Project Coordination team, who review work based on daily informal contact, reports, and conferences.
• Work on multiple projects at the same time.

Background and experience required

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in project management or related field.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in coordination of multiple tasks.
• Knowledge, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge, of WMATA's rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, arithmetic, and general office practices and procedures.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in performing duties.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals with whom interface is required.
• Ability to maintain complex files and files for multiple task orders.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Location: WMATA New Carrollton Headquarters, New Carrollton, MD

Estimated work hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday

Salary range: $75,000 – $100,000 YR
