Project Coordinator - ConstructionResponsible for independently overseeing construction project closeout activities, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and District standards from substantial completion through final acceptance. Serves as the central point of accountability for project documentation, risk mitigation, and procedural compliance, exercising discretion and independent judgment in evaluating closeout deliverables, resolving deficiencies, and advising District leadership. Coordinates and directs project teams, contractors, and external vendors to ensure timely and compliant project completion, while developing and improving processes to enhance operational
efficiency and consistency.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
BA Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related field is highly desired. An equivalent combination of Education and Related Experience may be considered.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

-Will require travel throughout district to building sites and school facilities
-Exposure to different weather conditions and temperatures
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent sitting and standing, occasional reaching, pulling, kneeling, squatting

- Ability to perform project site walkthrough for inspection
-- Independently manage the full construction project closeout process, ensuring adherence to contractual, regulatory, and district standards.
-- Evaluate project documentation (as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, certifications, permits, test reports) for completeness, accuracy, and compliance; determine necessary corrective actions.
-- Develop, implement, and continuously improve closeout procedures, digital filing systems, and tracking protocols to ensure consistency and operational efficiency.
-- Serve as the primary advisor to project teams and District leadership on closeout readiness, compliance issues, risk mitigation, and acceptance recommendations.
-- Coordinate and direct contractors, architects, engineers, and internal staff to resolve documentation deficiencies and enforce District standards while maintaining accountability for timelines and deliverables.
-- Lead final inspections and warranty walkthroughs; assess contractor performance and determine corrective action strategies prior to final acceptance or payment authorization.

-- Maintain accountability for warranty tracking and independently determine appropriate enforcement actions, including initiating warranty work orders and follow-up communications.
-- Serve as a subject-matter expert for construction closeout systems, establishing access controls, governance standards, and process improvements for internal and external stakeholders.
-- Research, interpret, and resolve complex documentation or compliance inquiries from District departments, contractors, and external partners.

Ability to coordinate and direct contractors, architects, engineers, and internal staff while maintaining accountability for outcomes and timelines, Demonstrated ability to independently evaluate construction documentation, interpret contractual requirements, and make decisions impacting project compliance, timelines, and financial outcomes, Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple high-impact tasks, Experience developing, implementing, or improving operational processes, documentation standards, or digital tracking systems, Proficiency with construction or engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Excel) and digital document management systems is preferred, Proven ability to advise leadership and project teams on compliance, risk mitigation, and acceptance decisions, Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering and construction drawings, specifications, and reports, Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project closeout workflows, with the ability to analyze and apply this knowledge to resolve complex issues, Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex compliance or procedural information to diverse stakeholders, Willingness and commitment to observe and model all District policies and procedures
