Job Description

Are you a highly organized individual looking to build a career in project coordination?

Fleetway is seeking a Junior Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of work within the River Class Destroyer (RCD) program. Working closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, you'll help keep projects on track by maintaining schedules, coordinating meetings, managing documentation, monitoring milestones, and supporting project reporting activities.

In this role, you'll serve as a central point of coordination between project teams, helping ensure information is communicated effectively, deliverables are tracked and distributed, and project data is maintained accurately within approved systems and tools. You'll also assist with identifying schedule risks, tracking action items, preparing reports, and supporting the continuous improvement of project processes and procedures.

This opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who enjoys organization, collaboration, and problem-solving, and is interested in gaining hands-on experience supporting complex projects in Canada's marine and defence sector.

  • Create and maintain project schedules using MS Project or Primavera.
  • Facilitate project meetings, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Monitor deadlines and milestones, proactively identifying risks, conflicts, or delays.
  • Coordinate document distribution to ensure clear communication across project teams.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports to track schedule and budget performance.
  • Support data management using Epoch and other approved tools.
  • Share project updates and reports with leaders, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Generate, manage, and store project documentation within authorized digital environments.
  • Oversee the distribution of digital and physical project deliverables.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between project teams to maintain alignment.
  • Support the development and improvement of project processes and procedures alongside project team leads.

Education

  • Diploma in Technology, Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • 0-2 years of experience in project coordination, administration, or other project-focused work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera is an asset.
  • CAPM certification—or interest in working toward it—is considered an asset.
