POSITION: Project Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: UPHCS

RATE: $25.00 per hour, with potential for additional compensation based on qualifications.

The Project Coordinator works closely with UPHCS leadership, project teams, healthcare providers, and community partners to coordinate and support the implementation of grant-funded projects and special initiatives. The position assists with project planning, partner engagement, training activities, data collection, evaluation, reporting, and quality improvement efforts to ensure project objectives and deliverables are completed on time and in accordance with grant requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Follows established Upper Peninsula Health Plan (UPHP) and Upper Peninsula Health Care Solutions (UPHCS) policies and procedures, objectives, safety standards, and sensitivity to confidential information.
2. Responsible for assisting participating clinics with their implementation of projects, grant related activities, and the collection of project evaluation data.
3. Assists participating clinics, healthcare organizations, and community partners with implementation of project and grant activities.
4. Coordinates meetings, trainings, learning collaboratives, and project-related events.
5. Develops and maintains project documentation, schedules, reports, and tracking tools.
6. Collects, tracks, and analyzes project data and evaluation measures to support reporting requirements.
7. Develops surveys, assessments, and data collection tools to evaluate project outcomes and participant feedback.
8. Monitors project activities and milestones and communicates progress, barriers, and opportunities to leadership.
9. Works closely with project teams, committees, collaboratives, and partners to support achievement of project objectives.
10. Provides technical assistance and support to participating organizations as needed.
11. Assists with onboarding new project partners and maintaining ongoing stakeholder engagement.
12. Supports quality improvement initiatives through data collection, analysis, and implementation of approved improvement strategies.
13. Assists with preparation of grant reports, presentations, and other materials for funders, stakeholders, and leadership.
14. Maintains organized project files, records, meeting materials, and communications.
15. Maintains confidentiality of client data.
16. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Minimum:

Bachelor’s degree in community health, public health, health care, behavioral health, data
analytics, nursing, or related field; five (5) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree will be
considered.

Preferred:

Master’s degree in community health, public health, behavioral health, health care administration,
or related field.

Experience:

Minimum:

One (1) to three (3) years of clinical, health care, behavioral health, or related project management
or coordination experience.

Preferred:

Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in quality improvement, behavioral health, or a managed
care environment. Nursing health care administration and/or data analysis experience is desired.

Required Skills:

Excellent project management and organizational abilities
Excellent human relation and oral/written communication
Facilitation and mediation
High level of technical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in virtual meeting technology and software
Keyboarding proficiency and working knowledge of PC business applications (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
