Job Description

The Defense Systems group at Leidos currently has an opening for an Project Coordinator supporting the Threat Sensors portfolio in Huntsville, AL. In this role you will support a wide variety of projects in the electrical engineering, and software development fields including prototype systems and on going operations and maintenance programs. This role will directly support the project leads and project managers in scheduling/deconflicting project actions, capturing and completing procurement/material tracking, and support customer and internal meetings.

Leidos is seeking a project coordinator who will provide essential support to program management teams by coordinating personnel, resources, and activities across large-scale government or intelligence-related programs. It combines technical expertise, organizational skills, and familiarity with SIGINT operations to ensure efficient execution of program objectives and deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating alignment of teams that plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules, and coordinates the flow of materials to meet production requirements with the project leads and project managers.
  • Assists in the development of management plans and the preparation of cost and performance reports.
  • Assists in coordinating project activities, including work package drafting, work breakdown structure management, and related program functions.
  • Manages logistics for travel, meetings, briefings, and other activities essential to program execution.
  • Provide direct administrative and operational support to program leadership, including coordination of program reviews, customer engagements, and strategic planning activities.
  • Coordinate day-to-day program operations, including tracking action items, deliverables, and key milestones across multiple stakeholders.
  • Maintain and track program data, reports, and inputs from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely execution.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in a technical or business discipline and a minimum of three (3) years supporting large-scale programs exceeding $1 million annually. Candidates without associates degrees will be considered on a case by case basis and may be required to have additional years of experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting the intelligence community or signals intelligence
  • Proven ability to coordinate program-related activities including requirements, resources, personnel, funding, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint, to support program operations.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. (US citizenship is required)
  • Ability to take vague direction and implement to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a distributed/remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience.
  • Experience with Electrical Engineering, Electrical Manufacturing, or RF programs
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products specifically Microsoft Project or other project scheduling tools
  • Experience with Concur (or similar travel system), Costpoint/Deltek, and Workday (or similar Finance/HR systems), including familiarity with FAR-compliant travel, purchasing, and expense processes.
  • Experience with logistics support including purchasing and material tracking
  • Familiarity with Leidos systems, processes, or prior internal experience is highly valued.
  • Active DoD security clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $52,000.00 - $94,000.00
