Job Description

The Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects safely, on time, within scope, and on budget. This role oversees project teams, manages resources, and ensures compliance with client requirements and organizational standards while fostering positive client relationships.

Job Requirements

  • Assist the project manager with budgets, schedules, scope statements, and project plans.
  • Handle project administration and bookkeeping, including invoices, purchase orders, inventory reports, and other financial records.
  • Oversee project procurement.
  • Meet with clients to define project requirements, acceptance criteria, and timelines.
  • Coordinate resources so the team has what it needs on time.
  • Assign tasks and clarify expectations for milestones and deliverables.
  • Serve as the liaison between the project team and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project managers in tracking progress, monitoring performance, and updating stakeholders.
  • Schedule stakeholder meetings and prepare reports.
  • Promote cross-team collaboration to complete tasks and deliverables.

  • Communication skills: Communicate clearly with project managers, sponsors, stakeholders, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Problem-solving skills: Identify issues quickly and develop practical solutions and strategies.
  • Change management skills: Adapt to changing project conditions and support updates to project plans.
  • Organizational skills: Stay organized through time management, delegation, planning, goal setting, and decision-making.

Required Experience & Education

  • 3-5 years in project coordination experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in construction, energy, or manufacturing projects is a plus.
  • PMP certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing projects over $5M is strongly preferred.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
