Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Support the end-to-end coordination of logistics projects, from initial planning through to execution and completion
  • Assist in defining project scope, timelines, resource requirements, and cost parameters
  • Coordinate shipments including standard, out-of-gauge (OOG), and oversized cargo where required
  • Monitor project milestones and ensure adherence to agreed timelines and service levels
  • Liaise with internal departments (operations, customs, finance) and external stakeholders (clients, carriers, vendors)
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in line with customs, regulatory, and company requirements
  • Track and report on project performance, highlighting risks, delays, or deviations
  • Support cost control by monitoring budgets and identifying efficiencies where possible
  • Escalate issues or deviations to management in a timely and structured manner
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the sharing of best practices across the organization
  • Maintain high levels of customer service through proactive communication and responsiveness
  • Support compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and local regulatory requirements
  • Perform additional duties as required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Good problem-solving ability and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of logistics operations, including transport modes (air, ocean, road)
  • Knowledge of project cargo (e.g. heavy lift, OOG) is advantageous
  • Commercial awareness, including basic cost and pricing understanding

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or project coordination
  • Experience in project cargo or complex transport solutions is an advantage
  • Familiarity with EU transport regulations and customs processes preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) preferred
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken)

CERTIFICATES AND LICENCES

Professional certification may be required in some areas.
