Assisted Living and Social Services (ALSS) provides supports for seniors, families, and communities, and helps Albertans access disability services, continuing care, financial supports, affordable housing, services for the homeless, and other social-based programs. The Ministry supports Albertans through a person-centered, integrated service delivery model that recognizes the unique circumstances, experiences and strengths of individuals and families. The ALSS Modernization Office is responsible for the modernization and digital re-engineering of ALSS programs to deliver simpler, faster and more cost-effective services that better meet the needs of Albertans, staff, service delivery partners and others. The office is an integral part of the ALSS Digital Transformation to enable the ALSS Digital Road Map and vision: “ALSS will provide simple, modern and accessible digital services that empower Albertans to achieve their goals.”
The Project Coordinator plays a key role in delivering projects that improve how Albertans access social‑based programs and services. This role suits someone who is energized by complex work, is passionate about improving processes and how projects are delivered and is motivated by the opportunity to make a visible impact.
Project Planning and Delivery
You will be responsible for coordinating assigned projects or defined components of larger initiatives. This includes applying structured project management practices to move work from concept to implementation by:
