Project Controls Manager

Location: Houston, TX

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead program-level scheduling and execution support across a portfolio of large-scale data center and infrastructure projects. This role will be responsible for building, managing, and driving integrated project schedules, supporting buyout strategy, and enabling performance tracking through earned value and schedule analytics.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Oracle Primavera P6, multi-project coordination, and program-level leadership, with the ability to support both ongoing and forecasted high-growth project demand.

Key Responsibilities

Program Scheduling Leadership

  • Lead development and management of program-level schedules across multiple concurrent projects using Primavera P6
  • Establish and maintain integrated master schedules, including work breakdown structures, sequencing logic, and critical path analysis
  • Drive schedule alignment across multi-site and multi-scope projects, including infrastructure, DevOps, and full EPC scopes
  • Support schedule buildout for leadership teams and expand organizational adoption of P6 scheduling tools

Project Execution Support

  • Provide direct support for ongoing projects
  • Collaborate with project leaders and buyout teams to ensure alignment between schedule, procurement, and execution strategies
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to maintain schedule integrity and execution readiness

Buyout & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Buyout, Project Leadership, and key stakeholders to develop executable schedules tied to procurement milestones
  • Support buyout-driven execution strategies, including sequencing of procurement, material delivery, and field activities
  • Assist in scaling scheduling structures for large and time-sensitive initiatives

Schedule Management & Performance Tracking

  • Monitor project performance against baseline schedules and identify risks, delays, and mitigation strategies
  • Develop reporting dashboards and executive-level summaries to communicate schedule health and forecast outcomes
  • Implement and expand Earned Value Management (EVM) practices to track progress, productivity, and performance across projects
  • Support forecasting and hours-based planning to improve cost, labor, and schedule accuracy

Strategic Growth & Process Development

  • Help scale scheduling best practices across the organization and act as a subject matter expert for P6 utilization
  • Support the creation of standardized scheduling frameworks for program replication and growth
  • Contribute to improving estimating accuracy through detailed schedule development and resource loading
  • Enable leadership teams to build, maintain, and utilize schedules effectively for decision-making

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in project management, project controls, or scheduling within industrial, data center, or construction environments
  • Advanced expertise in Primavera P6 scheduling, including multi-project integration
  • Proven experience managing large, complex, multi-site project portfolios
  • Strong understanding of buyout/procurement workflows and their impact on execution
  • Demonstrated experience implementing schedule tracking, reporting, and performance metrics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting hyperscale data center or mission-critical infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and implementation
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving scope
