You will work closely with project managers, technical teams, and clients to ensure projects are effectively planned, monitored, and controlled throughout their lifecycle—from early feasibility through to delivery and operation.

You will play an important role in embedding a culture of high-quality project controls, ensuring reliable reporting, strong governance, and effective performance management across projects.

This role requires a collaborative, detail-oriented professional who is comfortable working in fast-paced project environments, supporting teams to overcome challenges and deliver successful outcomes.

Your role will include:

  • Provide accurate reporting and analysis to support project decision-making and performance tracking
  • Work with project teams to support resource planning, forecasting, and progress monitoring
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between programme, cost, and delivery objectives
  • Support risk management processes, including identification, assessment, and mitigation tracking
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to provide clear, data-driven insights on project performance
  • Support the development and implementation of PMO and project controls frameworks where required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance project controls practices and tools
  • Support bids and work-winning activities, providing project controls expertise and input
  • Assist with the development and mentoring of junior team members

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

  • Experience in project controls within rail, infrastructure, or transport projects
  • Experience supporting planning, cost control, risk management, and reporting functions
  • Experience working in a consultancy or project delivery environment
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams
  • Experience supporting or working within a PMO or project controls environment
  • Strong understanding of project controls principles, processes, and systems
  • Ability to analyse and interpret project data, producing high-quality reports
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to validate and assure data accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams
