The Role
Reporting to the Head of Project Delivery on a Maximum Term
Agreement of 12 months, With the option to be based in either our Brisbane,
this role will require travel to other Ark offices and project sites at times. The
Project Controls Lead provides strategic oversight and hands‑on
expertise across planning, scheduling, cost control, document control,
reporting, and project governance.
You’ll lead a small, multidisciplinary project controls team
and serve as the central coordination point for accurate, reliable project
performance insights. Your work will directly support the successful delivery
of large-scale renewable energy developments on time, within scope, and within
budget.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure,
accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
·Lead and develop a multidisciplinary project
controls team across planning, cost, and document control.
·Establish and maintain integrated project
schedules, including baselines, progress updates, and critical path analysis.
·Oversee cost control, forecasting, and variance
analysis to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting.
·Deliver timely, high‑quality
project performance reporting across schedule, cost, risk, and delivery
metrics.
·Provide clear insights and recommendations to
senior leaders on project performance and emerging risks.
·Ensure consistent application of project
controls standards, tools, and governance across the project portfolio.
·Drive continuous improvement in project controls
processes, systems, and reporting capability.
·Collaborate closely with project managers,
contractors, and stakeholders to align planning and reporting requirements.
·Apply quality assurance and risk awareness to
all project controls outputs to support informed decision‑making.
